Anthon Brøndum founded the Akvavit brand Brøndum in Denmark in 1840 and is today one of the oldest Danish Akvavit producers in Denmark. Danish Akvavits are generally very strong in flavour, as the spice and herb distillates themselves undergo a maturation process before becoming the Akvavit you know from the bottle. The latest additions to Brøndums Snaps are the two Spice Snaps Rhubarb/Ginger and Apple/Thyme. Brøndums Snaps Klar was used as a base for both.
