Description:
Ian “Lemmy” Kilmister, founder, lead singer and bassist of the British rock band Motörhead, came up with the idea of developing his own wine over a glass of red wine in 2010. In searching for the perfect conditions for their own ideas of a hard and deep wine, they found what they were looking for in the Hunter Valley in South Australia, where the dark and high-quality Shiraz grape variety is grown. This wonderfully complex red wine, which has a very fruity flavour with hints of vanilla, blackberry, plum, eucalyptus and liquorice, has been produced there to the band's specifications since late 2010.
In November 2011, the Motörhead guys were guests on the ‘Harald Schmidt Show’ and brought their wine with them. The presenter took a sip and declared: ‘This is a Shiraz as it should be.’
