Natterjack stands for Irish whiskey with an American accent. The Irish whiskey consists of 20% malted barley and 80% corn. After triple distillation, Natterjack is aged first in ex-bourbon barrels and then in Virgin American Oak barrels. The creation combines the craftsmanship of Irish whiskey with the maturation process of a bourbon. The name Natterjack comes from a small European toad that has a bright yellow stripe on its back. The so-called natterjack toad is the only toad found in Ireland and is characterised by an adventurous spirit. The whisky is a loving tribute to the Natterjack. This release is a cask strength edition and was bottled at a full 63% by volume.
